Normand Soucy

Normand Soucy, 79, of Campbell St., Fall River, died Monday, February 27, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Doris (LaPlante) Soucy. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Beauchemin) Soucy. He was a Fall River Public Works Department heavy equipment operator for 27 years. An Army veteran of WWII and Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion, Post 126. Survivors include a son, Robert Soucy and his wife Christine of Charlestown, RI; 2 granddaughters, Amber Soucy of Key West, FL and Autumn Soucy of Amherst, MA; a brother, Roger Soucy of Swansea; a sister, Irene Arsenault of Fairhaven and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday evening 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
