Normand E. Berube, 94, of Magnolia, TX, formerly of Fall River, MA, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire D. (Gagnon) Berube for 66 years. A soft spoken man of many talents, he readily came to the aid of his extended family and friends.
He was employed by Power Equipment, Inc. and was a Navy veteran of WWII. Active in his community, Normand was a member of the First Friday Club, Slade Bowling League and Liar's Poker Club at Gianna’s Restaurant in Texas. He was a recipient of the Marian Medal having served many years as a Eucharistic Minister, Lecter and Men’s Club Member of the former Blessed Sacrament Parish.
He leaves four children, Normand E. Berube, Jr. and his wife Paulette of Magnolia, TX, David Berube and his wife Jean of Austin, TX, Jeanne Paquette and her husband Reginald of Dartmouth, MA and Julie Borgatti and her husband Joseph of Mattapoisett, MA.;
grandchildren, Dawn Parker, Richard Berube, Michael Berube, Judd Berube, Ann Weitzman, Lynn Borgatti, Kaye Huwyler, and Joseph Borgatti, III;
16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Alfred and Angelina (Lapointe) Berube and brother of the late Donald, Robert, Emile, Leo Berube and sister Beatrice Foy.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River. His funeral will be held Monday, April 4 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass in Good Shepherd Church, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson's Research.
