Nemo J. Chicca

Nemo J. Chicca, 84, of Plymouth Ave., Fall River, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Saint Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Alice (Martel) Chicca. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Modesto and Argenia (Pallagi) Chicca. Mr. Chicca had been employed by Capson Hat Company, Settlow-Bradley Scott Manufacturing and Frito-Lay. A well known soccer player, he played for the Italian Progressive Club and Liberal Athletic Club. He was a member of South End Senior Citizens Drop In Centers. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, John J. Chicca and his wife Therese of Fall River, A daughter, Joyce C. Mauretti and her husband Stephen of Swansea, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Nancy Lee Chicca and the brother of the late Louis Chicca. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church, S. Main St. at 10 AM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday from 4 to 8 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
