Michael W. Finglas Jr.

Michael W. Finglas Jr passed away unexpectedly on September 25th at the age of 49, leaving behind the beautiful people he loved.

His love for ‘76 Corvettes, Jeeps, and his Rez rides were well known among his friends. Michael’s memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.

He leaves behind his former spouse of 23 years, Nicole (Dubois) Finglas; a daughter, Kyleigh Finglas; a son, Luke Finglas; a dog, Sidney Finglas; a girlfriend, Melissa (Dubreuil) Pacheco; an aunt, Judy (Jennings) Rezendes; a cousin Cheri Antelo; a brother Sean Finglas; a mother, Sheila (Jennings) St. George, her husband, Bob St. George; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the son of the late Michael W. Finglas Sr.

To many, Mike was know as a badass negotiator, a proud father to two beautiful children, and, in his prime, arguably considered the unofficial mayor of Fall River.

He was a ferocious New England sports fan, and enjoyed watching ESPN, especially McAfee. He loved a crisp Coors Light and chillin' with friends. His extensive baseball card collection was Intergalactic. His happiest times were the days coaching ball and taking his son out for batting practice and watching his daughter crush serves and spikes on the volleyball court.

Despite common struggles, his spirit remained stronger than anyone and he would be LIVID if we didn’t celebrate his life with some loud tracks by Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, or some Godsmack, to start.

He was blessed to be part of a beautiful family and surrounded by friends who loved him unconditionally.

Michael graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School and was employed as a driver for UPS and SW Cole Engineering, Inc, in which he was often shipping up to Boston.

The loss we all feel is unmeasurable and we ask in this hard time that we all remember the times Mike has blessed you with his presence, because he was an ABSOLUTE STUD. Everyone is better for knowing him and being a part of his life.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 2, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. 

His funeral will be held Saturday, October 3 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at St. George Church, Westport. 

Burial will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery. Main Rd. Westport.
