Matthew J. Pimentel, Esq., 39, of Swansea, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. He was the loving husband of Khrystyne (Turner) Pimentel, the absolute love of his life, and was a devoted father to his son, Caesar Jermaine “CJ” Pimentel. Born in Taunton, MA, he was the son of Adelino C. and Debra (Leocadio) Pimentel.
Matt achieved various accolades throughout his college years beginning at Bridgewater State University, earning a BA in History. Following his undergrad, Matt earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2013 from Roger Williams University School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude. The beginning of his successful career began when he was sworn into the Massachusetts and the Rhode Island Bar Association. Following that, he was then sworn into the Connecticut Bar Association. He was a Partner at Higgins Cavanagh & Cooney in Providence, RI, where he practiced until his passing.
Matt loved taking long road trips and unforgettable vacations with his family, especially magical getaways to Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines. He also enjoyed visiting museums and aquariums. Some of his favorite memories were created at historic sites like Battleship Cove where he often spent one on one time with his son. Attending Broadway shows and concerts with his wife was where Matt could be found when he and his family were not traveling. Matt would watch the Celtics and Bruins play alongside his family, or head out to a Providence Bruins game with CJ. He found joy and focus in collecting rare silver coins and Disney Cruise Line ship replicas. Matt cherished and loved every moment spent with family and friends in addition to his cats Bailey, and Domino.
Matt felt immense pride and joy when he and his wife adopted their son on National Adoption Day in November 2022. That special day marked the beginning of their forever family.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his beloved son, Caesar Jermaine "CJ" Pimentel; his cats Bailey, Asher, Domino, and Hannah; his sister-in-law, Kalynn Martins (husband Joel Martins, Jr.); his cool nephew, Samuel Martins, and his favorite niece, Lydia Martins. Among them, he also leaves several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Matt leaves behind a legacy of love and happy memories that will stay in our hearts forever. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, July 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
