Mary Ann (Turner) Rochester, 78, born July 13, 1947, in Seneca, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2026, at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. Her journey through life was marked by a dedication to her family, a resilient spirit, and a tender heart that touched all who knew her.
Mary Ann’s career as a welder reflected her strong work ethic and determination. Outside of work, Mary Ann had a vibrant curiosity and took pleasure in exploring new foods. Her sharp mind found delight in the intricacies of crossword puzzles and word searches.
Above all, Mary Ann loved her children, siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, George Richard Rochester, David Edward Rochester, and James Henry Rochester; her grandchildren—George, Joshua, David, Nicholas, Nathan, and Rachel; her great-grandchildren, Logan Edward and Ava, were a light in her later years, symbols of a family bond that transcended generations.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Rochester, her parents, Richard Turner and Lela Mae (Haulbrook) Turner; her twin sisters, Betty Desmarais and Emily Melo.
