Marilyn Patricia (Gauthier) Charest, 72, of North Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was the wife of Nelson Charest with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.


Born on February 20, 1953, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the mother of the late Tara Charest and the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Boyle) Gauthier.


Marilyn’s life joys included sightseeing, game shows, bargain shopping, country music, and rooting for the Patriots and Celtics. Above all, Marilyn found immense happiness in the time she spent with her family and friends, joyfully participating in family gatherings that filled her life with love and warm memories.


Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Holly Charest and son-in-law, John McDonough; her beloved granddaughters Caroline McDonough and Charlotte McDonough; her siblings, Eileen Senay (husband Jay), Henry Gauthier (partner Cheryl Benedetti), and Richard Gauthier (wife Carla).


Marilyn's visitation will be held Monday, October 27, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St. Fall River.

Burial and Committal Service will follow at 11:30 A.M., at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd.
