Mariana (Pacheco) Faria, 91, passed away peacefully at the Catholic Memorial Home on October 12, 2025.
Born on February 17, 1934, in St. Michael, Azores. Mariana was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jose Raposo Faria, and her parents, Francisco Pacheco and Beatrice D'Oliveira.
After moving to the United States, Mariana made her home in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she dedicated many years of her life working in various factories. Mariana took great joy in cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, often gathering them around the table to share stories and laughter.
As a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Mariana fostered a deep connection with her faith and community.
Mariana leaves behind her adoring sons, Jose L. Farias, his wife Adelaide and Paul G. Farias, who cherished her love and guidance throughout their lives. Her legacy endures through her grandchildren, Derek Farias (wife Tammy), Cheryl Phin (husband Sam), and Brittany Farias, and her great-grandchildren, Jameson Phin, Miles Phin, Nalany Phin, and Cameron Farias, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
She is also survived by her dear siblings, Sophia Baptista, Beatrice Oliveira, Helena Rego, and John Pacheco. Mariana was the sister of the late Maria Costa, Francisco Pacheco, Jose Pacheco and Ilda Camara. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Her Visitation will take place at Auclair Funeral Home in Fall River on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
