Maria (Carreiro) Ponte

Maria (Carreiro) Ponte, 83, of Hunter St., Fall River, wife of Manuel Ponte, and a former employee of Bradley Scott Manufacturing, died Thursday, October 4, 2012. Besides her husband of 57 years, she leaves 3 children, Norbina Sineiro and her husband Daniel of Swansea, Jose R. Ponte, and Grace Teixeira and her husband Carlos, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Veronica Correia (Marco), Daniel Sineiro (Stacy), Jack Teixeira (Jennifer) and Kevin Teixeira; great-grandchildren, Domenic and Noah Teixeira, Sydney and Gavin Correia, and Owen and Brody Gaspar; siblings, Ermelinda Furtado and Jose Rodrigues, both of Fall River, and Irene Rodrigues, and Conceicao Paiva of the Azores; and nieces and nephews. Born in Maia, Sé�o Miguel, Azores, she was the grandmother of the late Irene Sineiro; the daughter of the late Caetano Rodrigues and Maria (Laurenco); and the sister of the late Delzira Costa, Inez and Maria Jose Rodrigues and Maria Viveiros. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Santo Christo Church at 9:45 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
