Maria Fernanda Borges

Maria Fernanda Borges, 85, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, December 26,2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Terceira, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Cardoso Borges and Margarida Alzira Borges.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter and Sister.  She was the kind of person that  devoted her life to taking care of other people. She liked to spend her time watching her Portuguese  Soap operas and her daily Mass and spending time with her family and long time friend Maria.

She leaves two daughters, Natalie Kennedy and Maria Aguiar (husband Louis; two grandsons, Joshua Kennedy and Jacob Aguiar; two great grandsons, Austin and Jackson Kennedy; four siblings, Helena Borges, Alda Borges, Eduarda Regeira (husband Carlos) and George Borges (wife Valentina). She was the sister of the late Manuel Borges, Vitorino A. Borges, Jose E. Borges, Maria D. Grothe, Margarida M. Borges and Helia Cataen.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 8:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
