Lorraine (Dupont) Rioux

Lorraine M. (Dupont) Rioux, 98, of Swansea, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 5, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Ernest A. Rioux, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late John and Obelina (Paquin) Dupont. 

Lorraine was employed by Shelburne Shirts and Globe Mills. She enjoyed Bingo, reading and spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of the Somerset and Swansea Council on Aging.

She leaves a daughter Michelle Laflamme and her husband Paul of Swansea and was the mother of the late Raymond Rioux; her grandchildren, Dawn Rioux Correia (husband Mark), Nicole Dinis (husband Brian), Carollee Rioux Reid (husband Gary) Mallory Laflamme, Noelle Laflamme, and Aubrey DeMeule (husband Scott); 12 great-grandchildren; Trenton, Zachary, Maryssa, Brian, Alexis, Caleb, Victoria, Ezra, Abbygail, Bradyn, Jayla and Quinn; five great-great-grandchildren, Amelia, Zoey, Matteo, Madelyn and Briar; and many nieces and nephews. 

Lorraine was the sister of the late Irene McCann, Jeanne Coulombe, Leo Dupont and Joseph "JP" Dupont.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 9, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 10 at 9:15 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gardner's Neck Rd. Swansea, at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
