Leon P. Isabel

Leon P. Isabel, 79, of Fall River, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed fishing and trips to Cuttyhunk Island. He leaves, his former wife, Phyllis (Morango) Isabel of Swansea; 6 children, Bruce Isabel and his wife Joanne of Somerset, Lisa Schecter and her husband Robert of Swansea, and Jacalyn Boutin, Reneé Isabel, Karen Isabel and Shelley Anctil, all of Fall River; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph and Marion (Leferriere) Isabel; and the brother of the late Joseph and George Isabel, Alice Murphy, Florence Charette and Jeanette Rodrigues.
