Laura Anne (Daponte) Tavares

Laura Anne (DaPonte) Tavares, 55, of Fall River, Operations Manager at People, Inc., passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital after battling Cancer and Covid-19.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Downey) DaPonte of Fall River, and the late Antonio DaPonte .

She loved to travel.  Before working with People, Inc., Laura was employed by Lightolier.

Besides her mother, she leaves her  companion, Darlene Squires (and her son David Desmarais); a husband, Jason Tavares; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

An animal lover, she sadly missed her late pets, Gizmo, Simba, Fuzzy, Snowball, Brandi and Princess. She liked music, especially Elvis.

Family and friends are invited to a committal service to be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Prospect St. Fall River at 12:30 PM.  (Meet at the main entrance at 12:20)
