Kathleen (Anderson) Roy

Kathleen “Kathy” (Anderson) Roy, 79, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026.  Kathy leaves behind the love of her life, her husband of 50 years, Roland Roy; her children, David Roy and Michelle Mercado (Daniel); her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Roy (Rachel) and Benjamin Mercado; and her cherished great-grandson, Everest Roy. 

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Irene Roy (Karen Thrift), Claire Cabelus, Jeanne Roy, and Vickie Greenzang (Steven), as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Hildegard and Robert Anderson; her sister, Judith Scheller; and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Gagne. 

Kathy was devoted to her faith, her family, and serving others. She dedicated much of her life to raising her family and living out her Catholic faith through service. She taught in Catholic schools, participated in prison ministry, and found countless ways to help those around her. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity touched many lives. 

She found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandsons and great-grandson. She also enjoyed reading, the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with dogs, watching television, sharing lunches with friends, and helping others whenever she could. 

Kathy's warm smile and loving spirit remained with her until her final days.

At this time, no public services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Kathy's memory. She supported many charitable causes throughout her life, making it difficult to choose just one.

Kathy's legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
