Karyn Marie (Viveiros) Rodrigues, 61, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, with her loved ones by her side. She bravely fought pancreatic cancer for months with the devoted and doting support of her three children.
Born in Fall River on October 27, 1963, Karyn was the cherished daughter of Raul and Mary (Martins) Viveiros. She was also the beloved wife of the late Joseph Rodrigues, with whom she shared over 30 wonderful years and adored deeply.
Karyn was the heart of her family—devoted mother to Tiffany Pavao (companion Nathan Arruda), and her two twin boys Ryan and Derek Rodrigues. Earlier in her life, she worked in jewelry sales before dedicating herself to motherhood and caregiving, ensuring that those unable to care for themselves were never alone. Throughout her life, Karyn demonstrated kindness and selflessness, always putting the needs of others first and caring for ill relatives. She loved children very much, especially the ones in her extended family. A practicing Catholic, she found comfort and community at St. Michael’s parish, where she faithfully attended Mass every Sunday.
In addition to her parents and children, Karyn is survived by her sister, Suzette Viveiros (companion Thomas Garrett); her aunts Mary Lou Martins (companion John Spratt) and Linda Silva; uncles Johnny and Marc Martins; her Godchild Daniel Keyes; many cousins; and her 3-year-old great-nephew, Bennett Moniz, who held a special place in her heart and brought her endless joy.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her great-grandmother Almerinda Costa, her great aunt and great uncle Helen and Joseph Medeiros, her uncles Daniel Viveiros, Steve Viveiros, and Joe Martins, and her aunt Alda Silva — all of whom she remained close to throughout her life.
Karyn will be remembered for her sweet and loving nature, her passion for talking on the phone with loved ones, her fondness for shopping, her love of desserts, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Above all, she wished for her children to stay close and support one another always. Her warmth, faith, and endless love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
