Joseph R. Santos

Joseph R. "Butch" Santos, 84, of Fall River, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025. He was the husband of Judith A. (Oliveira) Santos, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. 

Born in Fall River, Joseph was the son of the late Manuel and Bernadette (Paul) Santos, and the brother of the late Barbara Robichaud. 

Throughout his life, Joseph was known for his deep passion for Pigeon Racing, an endeavor that brought him much joy and camaraderie. He was also the proud former owner of Pigeon's Cafe on Pleasant Street, where he gathered many friends and patrons over the years. Joseph's love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to embrace the beauty of nature that he so cherished.

Besides his loving wife, Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph Santos, Jr. (wife Kimberly), and John Santos; his beloved grandchildren, Andrew Santos, Kathleen Santos, and Rebecca Santos; his sisters, Nancy St. Pierre, Sandra LePage and Manuel Santos Jr.  He also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

Joseph's visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., with a funeral service at 11:30 A.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., Fall River. Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River.
