Joseph A. Plourde, Jr.

Joseph A. Plourde, Jr., 76, of Fall River, husband of Lorraine (Chretien) Plourde, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

He was a Chemist at Polaroid. Prior to that, he held many other jobs in the chemical industry. He also worked at Main Street Gas Station. He was a member of the Liberal Club. He enjoyed carpentry and yard work.

Besides his wife of 55 years, he leaves behind a son, Kevin Plourde (wife Nicole) of Fall River; a granddaughter, Mia Plourde of Fall River; three siblings, Robert Plourde (wife Beatrice) of Fall River, Simonne Michaud (husband Richard) of CT, and Donald Plourde of NH; and two sisters-in-law Diane Sarro of Assonet and Irene Salva. He was the son of the late Joseph A. and Violet (Parent) Plourde.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 9:00 AM at St. Bernard Church, Assonet. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
