Joseph Piekos

Joseph Piekos, 90, of Montaup St., Fall River, husband of Stella (Piekos) Piekos, died Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was employed by Frito-Lay for many years and operated the Polish kitchen in the former Polish National Home for several years. Besides his wife of 68 years, he leaves a daughter, Laura Szlemp and her husband Roman of Fall River; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Barbara Paradysz (husband Emil), Jan Piekos (wife Anna), Stanislaw Piekos (former wife Bronislawa), and Waclaw Piekos (wife late Janina); the son of the late Wincynty and Helena (Witkos) Piekos; and the brother of the late Mary Smoczenska, and Jan, Stanislaw, Frank and Tadeusz Piekos. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Cross Church of Saints Peter and Paul Parish at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
