Joseph D. Dias, Jr.

Joseph D. Dias, Jr., 93, of Fall River, husband of the late Marion (Hunt) Dias, entered into rest Monday, August 1, 2016.

He was a Fall River Water Department heavy equipment operator for many years and was a member of the East End Sportsman's Club, Tiverton, the Boy's Club and the Fall River Municipal Employees Association.

He leaves three children, Joseph Dias of New Orleans, LA, and Sandra Parquette and Barry Dias, both of Fall River; grandchildren, Denise Bergeron and her husband Greg, Erin Gilley and her husband Clint and Jason Dias; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Wyatt Bergeron, Taylor Hill and Shane and Alex Greenburg; siblings, Mary Quinn and Ann White, both of Newport, RI and James and William Dias, both of Portsmouth, RI; and nieces and nephews. he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Moniz) Dias and the brother of the late George Dias.

His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
