John Richard

John Richard, of Westport, MA, passed away on December 16th at the age of 76. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he had a gift for making people laugh. As a self-taught mechanic and avid fisherman, he was always willing to help friends, family or neighbors with a car problem or share his latest catches. He retired as a custodian from the Westport school system, where he was loved by the children he cared for and cherished by the staff he worked alongside.

A dedicated son, John is survived by his son, Steven; daughter-in-law, Susan; brother, Arthur; sister, Bernadette; former wife, Janice; and many friends, who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will take place at Auclair Funeral Home on Friday, January 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
