John Botelho, 94, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Caisse) Botelho, with who they shared 71 years of marriage together.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, John was the son of the late Edwin and Alice (Ross) Botelho.
He was employed as a sewing machine operator in the garment industry. John was a vibrant personality who cherished moments spent repairing and fixing everything he could, and spending time with his children. His sharp intellect and love for learning connected him to friends and family, fostering countless memories with his family. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, always ready with a smile and a quick quip that would brighten anyone's day.
John is survived by his loving children, Lynne Gagne, Susan Bell (late husband Cliff), and John Jay Botelho (wife Marcee); seven grandchildren, Christopher Bell (wife Missy), Stefanie Isabelle (husband Paul), Melissa Cabral (husband Jeff), Justin Gagne, Joshua Gagne (wife Jaime), Carley Botelho and Leah Botelho; great-grandchildren,Taylor, Mackenzie, Adam, Andrew, Sophia, Vivian, Declan, and many nieces and nephews. Their lives have been enriched by his guidance and unconditional love, and they carry forward the values he instilled in them.
He is predeceased by his sister, Alice Perreault.
