JoAnn Andrade Palmer, 80, passed away peacefully alongside her loved ones at the Somerset Ridge on Saturday, September 20, 2025, where she resided comfortably for the past six years. Born on August 2, 1945, JoAnn lived a vibrant life characterized by her artistic talents and a deep sense of faith and community. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Fall River.
Throughout her career, JoAnn worked for several organizations, including her time at Pfizer in Fall River and Princess House in Dighton. More recently, she served as a secretary at Calvary Temple, a position she cherished and where she felt a strong bond with her coworkers, whom she considered extended family.
JoAnn's creative spirit was evident in her artistic endeavors, notably having some of her artwork displayed at the Boston Museum of Art. Her passion for drawing and oil painting flourished throughout her life, allowing her to express herself and share her perspective with others.
JoAnn is survived by her loving son, Peter Andrade and his wife Cerina; and her sister, Carol May Palmer Lima as well as grandsons Charles McIntyre Andrade and Peter Andrade, Jr. , granddaughter Alexis Andrade, great-grandson Kyle Andrade Jr.,
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Manuel Andrade, and her children, Nathan and Christine Andrade, grandson, Kyle Andrade, her brother, Herbert T. "Ted" Palmer, and her beloved parents, Herbert Theodore Palmer and Alberta May (Terwilliger) Palmer.
JoAnn's funeral service will be held Saturday, October 4, at 10:00 AM, at the Calvary Temple Assemble of God, 4321 North Main St. Fall River.
