Jeannette F. (Lapointe) Iwanski

Jeannette F. (Lapointe) Iwanski, 92, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Iwanski.

Born on December 15, 1933, in Fall River, Jeannette was the daughter of Herman Lapointe Sr. and Odila (Labrie) Lapointe. 

Jeannette unselfishly served the role of mother and homemaker while raising her four daughters. Jeannette was a woman of strong faith, who enjoyed word search puzzles, sitting by the water, watching a good sunset, and going out to eat with friends. 

Jeannette is survived by her daughters, Anne Marie Bouchard, Lisa Levasseur (husband Richard), Stacey Iwanski, and Mary Patricia Iwanski; her grandchildren, Riley Bouchard (wife Shannon), Allison Bouchard and Abigail Naylor and great grandsons Brayden and Mason Bouchard. She also leaves her sisters, M. Helene Lapointe and Sr. Marie William Lapointe. Jeannette was the sister of the late Paul Lapointe, Herman Lapointe Jr. and Therese Lussier. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. 

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 19 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass in St. Louis de France Church, Buffinton Street, Swansea, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
