Jeannette M. (Bedard) Gendreau

Jeannette M. (Bedard) Gendreau, 88, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River.

She devoted her life to caring for others, a calling she passionately fulfilled during her time as a nurse at the Fall River Jewish Home. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout her career.

She was the cherished wife of the late Horace L. Gendreau, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.

Jeannette leaves two children, Doris Javonillo (husband Benjamin), Dennis Gendreau (wife Lee),a daughter-in-law Denise Gendreau, and was the mother of the late Raymond Gendreau.

The void left by Jeannette’s passing is felt deeply by her grandchildren: Robert Javonillo (wife Sommer), Theresa Javonillo, Gregory Javonillo, Katelyn Javonillo (fiance John Flannagan), and Kevin Gendreau (husband Brian), who were all touched by her love and devotion. She was the great-grandmother of Sophia and Henry Anselmo and Olivia Javonillo.

She is also survived by her dear brother Paul Bedard and his wife Helaine, who shared many memories and moments of laughter together.

Jeannette will join in eternal rest her granddaughter, the late Rachel M. Anselmo (husband Jacob), her brother William Bedard and her parents, Antonin Bedard and Cora (Beland) Bedard, whose spirits will be forever intertwined with hers.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 20,  from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 21, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. Fall River, at 10:00 AM.

Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
