Jayne E. (Talbot) Tavares

Jayne E. (Talbot) Tavares passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026. She was the wife of the late Joseph Richard Tavares.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Elsmore) Talbot.

Jayne worked as a substitute teacher during the 80’s at B.M.C. Durfee High School. For many years she worked as a waitress at Tweets Balzano’s in Bristol, Rhode Island. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the beach. Above all her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. They went to amusement parks together and she loved every moment doing anything they could.

She is survived by her children, Richard Tavares, Kimberly Fitzgerald, Stephanie Tavares, and Heather J. Tavares; her grandchildren, Michael C. Tavares, Gina Silvia, Melanie Moniz, Jessica J. Soares, Cameron Tavares, Lindsey Pacheco, Kyle Tavares, R.J. Tavares, Dylan Tavares, and Laurel Pacheco; and her great-grandchildren, Nathan Tavares, Aleigh Tavares, Vada Soares. She was predeceased by her children, Joseph R. Tavares Jr., and Jennifer Tavares.
