James Michael Taylor, 90, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Fall River, James was the son of the late Evelyn Katherine (Pogubila) and James Arthur Taylor.
James was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in both the Air Force and Coast Guard. He also worked at the US Naval Supply Center in Newport, RI. His military experience shaped him into a person of integrity and resilience, qualities that he carried throughout his life.
He was known for his deep love of horses and the excitement of the horse track. His passion for horses was not just a hobby; it reflected his appreciation for grace and freedom, characteristics he admired in these magnificent creatures.
James is survived by his sisters, Judith Ann Roy and Bette May Roettger. James had four nieces, six grand nieces, a great grandnephew, and two great grand nieces, all of whom will carry forward his legacy of love and camaraderie.
As he wished, James' funeral and burial were private.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will live on through the laughter, stories, and cherished moments shared among family and friends. James Michael Taylor will be remembered as a kind and loving individual whose spirit will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
