Irene L. Brodeur

Irene L. (Dupont) Brodeur, 94, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025. 

She was the wife of the late Armand A. Brodeur. They were married for 57 years. 

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Irene (Danis) Dupont. 

A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1950, Irene was a legal secretary for many years working for John B. Cummings, Esq. and Sherwin, Gottlieb and Lowenstein. She was a former member of the Royal Travelers, Retail Clerks Retirees Local 1325, Holy Ghost Women's Club, Newport County Women's Club and the BMC Durfee High School's Reunion Committee.

Her hobbies included playing cards, needlepoint, traveling, and attending her granddaughter's recitals and plays.

She leaves three children, Paul Brodeur of Tiverton, Rhode Island, Diane Morin and her husband Edmund of Westport, Massachusetts and Robert Brodeur and his wife Julie Coventry, Rhode Island, two granddaughters, Allison Brodeur and Samantha Brodeur, both of Coventry and brother-in-law Richard Phillips of Cape Coral, Florida, and nieces and nephews.

Irene is pre-deceased by her siblings, Roland Dupont and his late wife Jean and Doris Phillips. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 12:00 PM to 5:00 p.m. at the Auclair Funeral home,690 South Main Street Fall River, Massachusetts. 

Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 4th at 9:00 from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa's Church, Stafford Road Tiverton.

Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
