Helen L. (Silvia) Flannery

Helen L. (Silvia) Flannery, 87, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Fayette Hawk.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Helen was the daughter of the late John L. and Olive L. (Ferry) Silvia.

Helen worked at Paul A. Dever Taunton State Hospital and had a lifelong career in the healthcare industry.

She loved poetry, and had written many of her own poems since the age of 11. One of her poems was published. She loved to yodel, which she learned from Ray Rogers. Helen mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and pets!

She leaves four children, Olivia Deneault (late husband Bryan) of Fall River, Pastor Shawn Hawk of Hillsboro, OH, Sheryl Wade (husband Bernard Michael Wade, Sr.) of Taunton and she was the mother of the late Richard B. Hawk. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Richard Steven Hawk, Jared Hawk, Nicholas Hawk, Chloe Hawk, Joshoah Hawk, John David Hawk, Celina Esther Hawk, Bernard Michael Wade Jr. and James Jonathan Wade (wife Jamara); a great-granddaughter, Jenesis; and many sisters and brother and nieces and nephews.
