Gilberto M. Cabral

Gilberto M. Cabral, 67, of Fall River passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Saint Anne’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria da Conceicao (Rego) Cabral for 44 years.

Born in Ribeirinha, St. Michael, Azores, Gilberto was the son of the late Gilberto and Herminia Gloria Cabral. He is survived by his four siblings, Filomena, Mariazinha, Suzana, and Fernando, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A dedicated boat maker at TPI in Warren, Gilberto retired due to illness. He was a man of deep faith and an active member of Santo Christo Parish, where he sang in the choir and joined charismatic worship groups in the area. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life, and he spent much time immersed in reading the Bible and prayer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St, Fall River. The funeral will take place on Friday, September 25, from the funeral home at 9:00 AM and a Funeral Mass at Santo Christo Church at 10:00 AM, followed by entombment at Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
