Germaine R. Garant

 Germaine R. "Gerry" Garant, aged 91, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Willie and Eva (Michaud) Garant.

Gerry dedicated 37 years of her professional life as an insurance customer service representative at Giroux-Audet-Rua Insurance. Her passion for creativity was evident in her love for sewing, knitting, and painting. She generously shared her talents through alterations she completed at home. Gerry was also a beloved member of the Classy Ladies and enjoyed traveling the world, baking and spending time with her family. She loved visits from her great nephews.

Her artistic flair and joyful spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She leaves her sister, Claudette Phillips and husband Andrew of Somerset; two nieces, Stacy Rosa and husband Jeff Sihpol of Norton and Wendy Sandford and husband Keith Sandford of Somerset; six great-nephews, Kyle, Tyler, Ryan, Evan, Logan and Zachary.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 13, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, with a Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Road, Westport, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
