Gerald Paquette

Gerald E. "Jerry" Paquette, 81, of Fall River, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Born and raised in Westport, MA, Gerald was the beloved son of the late Lionel and Rita (O'Hara) Paquette. Known for his gentle spirit and passion for restoring classic cars, Gerald spent countless hours in his garage, bringing life back to vintage treasures and creating memories with those he loved.

Gerald shared many beautiful years with his cherished wife, Linda Lee (Ferreira) Paquette, whom he missed deeply after her passing. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and treasured traditions that will forever be remembered by those who knew them.

A resident of Fall River for many years, Gerald was also a true New Englander at heart, enjoying local traditions like clam boils and a good half-and-half at the Liberal Club. Gerald was a quiet man of few words, but had a quick wit. He had a mischievous twinkle in his blue eyes.

Gerald’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted father to Gerald E. Paquette Jr. and Sondra Medeiros, and a loving grandfather to Ashtin, Dillin, and Paige Medeiros. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Paquette of Michigan, Carol Pratt (husband Raymond) of Fort Myers, FL, Ronald Paquette (wife Barbara) of Alameda, CA, and Joan Cote (husband Ernie) of Warwick, RI, and was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, and his cat, "Kitty," who held a special place in his heart.

Gerald’s family will forever cherish the laughter, wisdom, and love he so generously shared. His legacy will live on in the countless memories of family gatherings, his meticulous craftsmanship, and his enduring kindness.

A celebration of Gerald’s remarkable life will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, with a Funeral Service at 5:30PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main Street, Fall River.
