Gerald Mello

Gerald "Gerry" Mello, aged 79, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026. He was the son of the late John and Lydia (Pacheco) Mello.

A beloved figure in his community, Gerry was actively involved with Greater Fall River RE-CREATION, formerly known as CD-REC. An avid sports enthusiast, he held a special fondness for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

Gerry found joy in life’s simple pleasures, such as savoring his daily coffee from Sip N Dip on South Main Street. He took great satisfaction in raking leaves during the colorful autumn months and shoveling snow in the quiet of winter.

He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Lake and her husband Larry of Santa Rosa, CA, and his stepbrother, Steven Mello, along with his wife Michelle, of Fall River. He also leaves his nephew, Jeffrey Mello who took him to the Red Sox games every year and his boss and close friend, Grace, who took special care of him at work.
