Georgette Kanauss

Georgette D. (Charest) Kanauss, a beloved mother, 82, of Princeton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was the wife of the late Richard Kanauss, with whom she shared over 30 years of marriage. 

 Born in Fall River, Georgette was the daughter of the late Juliette (Pineault) Charest and George Charest. 

For many years, she served as a lunch lady at Watson Elementary School in Fall River. Her warm smile and caring nature left a lasting impression on countless children who walked through the cafeteria doors. In addition to her work at Watson Elementary, Georgette also served as a School Bus Monitor with Trembly Bus Company.

Georgette loved to travel, read, and the theatre. She also loved her sweets.

She is survived by her children, Lynda Borges (husband Thomjon), Richard S. Kanauss (wife Kimberly), Margaret D. Kanauss, and Patricia A. Kanauss; her grandchildren, Spencer R. Kanauss, Jayden A. Kanauss, Evan A. Lima, Dylan P. Lima; and her great-grandchild. 

She was predeceased by her sister Pauline Silvia. 

Georgette's Funeral will be held on Friday, January 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St, Fall River. Burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 2233 Robeson St, Fall River.
