Frances Ann Blumenthal, 89, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, a beloved educator and a cherished member of her community, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Born on June 22, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, Ann dedicated her life to shaping young minds and serving as a source of guidance for countless students.
Frances was a respected teacher and guidance counselor at Bishop Connolly High School in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she spent many years nurturing the potential of her students. Her passionate commitment to education culminated in her retirement in 1997 due to illness.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Frances was a talented and accomplished pianist.
Frances is survived by her brother, Morris C. Blumenthal Jr., his wife Angela; her nephews, Morris C. Blumenthal III and Christopher L. Blumenthal; and her niece, Kathryne B. Stalker as well as two grandnephews, two grandnieces, two great-grandnephews and two great-grandnieces.
She also leaves dear friends Mark A. Sullivan and Peter and Catherine Sullivan. She is predeceased by her grand-nephew, Morris C. Blumenthal IV, dear friend, Hannah Sullivan; father, Morris C. Blumenthal, Sr.; her mother, Doris (Breivogel) Blumenthal.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 22, at 10:00 AM at St. Christopher's Church, Main Rd. Tiverton, with burial to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
