Emile Robert "Bob" St. Pierre, a devoted father and husband, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Throughout his life, Bob found joy in life's simplest pleasures, like connecting with old friends, and spending time with his family and loving wife, Claire M. (Deschenes) St. Pierre.
His warm and playful spirit brought lightness and laughter to all who knew him. His love for music was a constant throughout his life, often singing along to the timeless tunes of Frank Sinatra and classic musical comedies—songs that became the soundtrack to countless fond memories.
With unwavering patriotism and a deep love for his community, Bob proudly served in the Connecticut National Guard, the Massachusetts Army Reserve, and the Ground Observers Corps from 1952 to 1954, an experience he cherished and often reminisced about his time in the Ground Observers Corps was featured in the Herald News in September 2015. His working life included 13 years with FritoLay, 21 years with Rexcut, and 21 years at H+S Tool. In every role, Bob's easy friendship, steady work ethic, and generous nature cultivated camaraderie and mutual respect among all who worked alongside him.
Besides his beloved wife, Bob is survived by his children: Robert St. Pierre and his wife Kathleen; Cheryl Fernandes and her husband Leo; and Jo-Ann St. Pierre. His cherished grandchildren include Cory St. Pierre, Frank Cruz, Derek Cruz, Stephen St. Pierre, Jonathan St. Pierre, Kyle Fernandes, Meghan Fernandes, and Chelsea Fernandes.
Bob was the son of the late Albert and Antoinette (Hardy) St. Pierre, the father of the late Carol St. Pierre, and the brother of the late Eva Cote and Benoit St. Pierre.
His funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. George Church, Westport—burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
