Elvira (Pimentel) Costa

Elvira (Pimentel) Costa, 95, of Fall River, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, peacefully, at home, surrounded by family.  She was the wife of the late Antonio M. Costa.

Born in Fazenda de Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Silvana (Borges) Pimentel.  She was a loving wife and mother and that her zest for life will be remembered by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Elvira enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and drinking tea with biscuits and lots of sugar, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She had worked in the garment industry.

She was the mother of Anthony M. Costa (wife Maria), Maria Fatima LeBlanc (husband Dennis), Maria Connie Raposo (husband Jamie) and the late Luisa Costa; sister of Theresa and the late Jose, Antone, Maria and Liduina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. Westport.  Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.  Visitation Friday morning only, prior to  her Funeral Mass, from 7:45 AM to 9:15 AM.
