Elizabeth A. "Peaches" (Paiva) Fournier, 82, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was the wife of the late Maurice H. “Moe” Fournier, Sr. with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Mary L. (Donovan) "Mamie" Paiva and Alfred "Fred" Paiva.
Elizabeth spent many devoted years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Union Hospital, offering compassionate care to patients and becoming a cherished figure among her colleagues. Her nurturing spirit shone through in every aspect of her work, and her commitment to helping others earned her the respect and gratitude of those she served. Additionally, Elizabeth showcased her vibrant personality while working as a waitress at China Royal.
She owned the Fudge and Candy Gift Outlet, where she took great joy in handcrafting fudge and handmade chocolate, bringing happiness and indulgence to countless customers.
Elizabeth enjoyed participating in her local bowling league, crocheting, making flower arrangements, and crafting projects.
She is survived by her children, Susan M. Aguiar (husband Daniel) and Matthew A. Fournier (wife Ashley); her granddaughters, Abigail Mauriss Aguiar-Almeida (husband Samuel) and Olivia Daniel Aguiar; her sister, Carol Silva (husband Antone), her brother-in-law, Bernard Fournier and her best friend of more than 50 years, Dorothy "Dot" Carpenter. She was the mother of the late Maurice H. “Little Moe” Fournier, Jr.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. Her funeral will be held Monday, December 22, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. Fall River. Burial will be private.
