Elizabeth L. Costa

July 18, 1944 — August 2, 2025

Somerset

Elizabeth “Betty” L. (Quintal) Costa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 81, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Fall River, Elizabeth was employed for many years, prior to her retirement, at Supreme, Inc., the family business where she worked alongside her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. Throughout her life, Elizabeth embraced a myriad of hobbies that reflected her nurturing spirit, but her favorites were spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, crocheting, reading, coloring, and dining out. She loved to make blankets, which now adorn the homes of many of her family members and friends.

She cherished her family deeply and showed it in many ways, one of which was by making and sharing her famous Portuguese stuffing, year-round, when it was requested. She had an extremely loving nature and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Besides her husband of 62 years, Frank Costa, Elizabeth is survived by her son, Paul M. Costa (wife Sally); her grandchildren: Jessica L. Braga (husband Porter), Jonathan W. Costa, and Evan P. Costa; her sisters, Jacqueline Grace (husband William), Catherine Gaw (husband Robert), and Susan Quintal, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her parents, Louis and Lucienne Y. (Boutin) Quintal, and her son, Frank W. Costa.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Road, Fall River.

Burial is private.
