Eleanor (Dubiel) Kippax, 89, of Youngsville, NC passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Albert “Kip” Kippax III.
Born Dec. 18, 1934 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley V. Dubiel, former Assistant Postmaster of Fall River, and the late Antonette (Stys) Dubiel. After graduation from Durfee High School, Class of 1953, Eleanor attended Boston U. majoring in music. She married Kip and moved to Germany while he served in the U.S. Army. Later, a job opportunity took them to Rockaway, NJ where they raised their family and retired to NC.
Eleanor enjoyed travelling to MA, CA, HI (many times), Utah skiing, cruises, and trips around the country for Crum & Foster in Morristown, NJ during her 27 years of employment. Playing tennis and swimming until she was 80, bridge club, concerts, reading, and attending games for the NC Mudcats and Hurricanes kept her busy. A strong Christian woman of faith, Eleanor studied the Bible, was a member of Christ the Word Church in Raleigh, and took part in the knitting ministry.
Eleanor was the loving mother of Elizabeth Archer, CA, Albert D. Kippax, NC. and the late Bruce Kippax. She was the grandmother of Steven A. Archer (wife Nikole) and great- grandmother to their children, Ryan Noelle and Callan Emerson all of WA. She was the dear sister of Lucy Paulo, of MA and the late Stanley V. Dubiel, Jr., MO.
