Dorothy O. "Dot" (Lemieux) Joy

Dorothy O. "Dot" (Lemieux) Joy, 92, of Amity St., Fall River, widow of Merton A. "Mert" Joy, died Sunday, August 29, 2010. A 1935 graduate of BMC Durfee High School, she worked in the garment industry for 47 years. A member of St. Joseph Parish and the Emblem Club, she enjoyed sewing, reading and making patchwork quilts. She leaves a daughter, Beatrice Rogers and her husband Bob of Tiverton; grandchildren, Karen Hart, Kevin Raposa and Robert and Randy Rogers; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Almeida and Edgar and Albert Dupuis. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday, September 11, in St. Joseph Church, at 10:00 AM.
