Donald P. Phenix, 89, husband of the late May (Dymoke) Phenix departed this world Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on November 26, 1932 son of the late Paul and Cecile (Normandin) Phenix. After the death of his parents, he was raised by his aunt and uncle the late Henry and Jeanne (Phenix) Laverdure. He was a resident of Swansea for the past 44 years.
After graduating from the MA College of Pharmacy, he entered the Army as a pharmacist earning the rank of Major. During his 20 years in the military, he and May traveled to many parts of the world including France, Germany and areas of the United States. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Donald was predeceased by his sister, Pauline.
He is survived by several cousins, neighbors and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his chapel service with military honors on Thursday, July 21, at 12 NOON, Notre Dame Cemetery.
