Donald R. Forand

Donald R. "Duck" Forand, 78, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was the son of the late Rene A. Forand and Rita A. (Dore) Forand. 

Serving his country honorably for 31 years in the United States Army National Guard, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and worked at Otis Air Force Base as a tank/heavy equipment mechanic.

Remembered as a devoted brother and uncle, Donald enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, sequence, and gin rummy. He enjoyed going to Seekonk Speedway and watching WWF. He leaves two sisters, Jane Benevides and her husband Joseph, and Joyce Forand-Voorhis and her husband Stephen, along with loving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM

at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River. 

His Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd., Fall River, at 11:00 AM, with burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
