Dolores R. Iwanski

The heart of our home and family, Dolores Iwanski, 98, of Somerset, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 20, 2026. She was born March 1, 1927, to the late Joseph and Genevieve (Kocon) Kosinski and raised in Fall River.

She was the beloved wife of the late Casimir (Cas) Iwanski, with whom she shared a strong marriage of 59 years. With their formative years in the Depression, they exemplified the values of the Greatest Generation, going on to raise four children to be independent and thoughtful adults. 

As members of St. Stanislaus Parish since childhood, they attended St. Stan's grammar school when the parish was the focal point of the Polish community. After raising their family in Weymouth, MA., they returned to the Fall River area and picked up where they left off, again as active parishioners of St. Stans, serving as eucharistic ministers and members of St. Stan's Seniors. 

Dolores had an inviting personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She gave and received much love and had many friends, both locally and in her winter sojourns to Stuart, FL.

A devoted mother and babci (grandmother), Dolores leaves her children, John Iwanski (Treva) of Edmond, OK, Judith O'Meara (Ronald) of Somerset, Barbara Henrichon (David) of West Brookfield, MA and Paul Iwanski (Wendy) of South Dennis, MA; Grandsons Alec Iwanski (Lauren) of Somerset and Jesse Iwanski of Portland, OR; and Great-Grandson Nathan Iwanski. Dolores was the sister of the late Edwin and Joseph Kosinski.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Friday, March 6 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland St., at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
