Diane L. Nanni

Diane L. (Chabot) Nanni, 72, of Rehoboth, formerly of Little Compton, died Thursday, October 2, 2025. A homemaker and dental hygienist, she was — and remains — a loving presence to all who knew her. She was at her happiest spending time with family and friends, whether hosting large holiday gatherings, playing with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Mémère,” or swimming in the ocean. An avid gardener and quilter, she found joy in music, nature, and birdwatching. She is survived by her partner, Jeffrey Sine; her four children, Alexander Chabot Nanni and his wife Chonticha of Pawtucket, RI, Michael A. Nanni of Middletown, RI, Laura T. N. Pleasants and her husband Gabriel of Providence, RI, and Ellen A. Nanni-Vargas of Providence, RI; her grandchildren, Leo Pleasants, Finn Pleasants, and Josephine Pleasants; and her beloved nephew, Dylan Benoit and his wife Katilan. She was the daughter of the late Roland E. Chabot and Theresa A. (Dumais) Chabot and the sister of Jeanne Rose Chabot and the late Denise L. Benoit. In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held near the vernal equinox. Details will be shared at a later date.
