Diane (Martin) Audette

Diane (Martin) Audette, 69,  of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late James L. Martin, Sr., and Lucille (Lariviere) Martin.

Diane graduated from Durfee High School Class of “71” and Diman School of Nursing, becoming an LPN.

She worked  in long term care for many years and more recently  at the MCI Norfolk Prison.

She enjoyed quilling, knitting, ceramics, card making,  traveling and a good cup of tea.

She was the beloved mother of Tracy Gabus (husband Steven), Alan Audette (wife Wendy) and Daniel Audette (wife Sarah) and Edward Audette; Grandmother of Erin Gabus , Gavin, Connor, Aria Audette, Curtis, Matthew, and Ricky Sheppard; Sister of Joane Mathieu (late husband Dennis) and the late James L. Martin, Jr.; Aunt of Kerrie Mathieu (Kevin), Peter Mathieu (Pam) and Jennifer Zachary (Dave); Great nieces and nephews, Shepard, Martin and Emma Mathieu, Braelie and Benjamin Zachary.

Diane cherished her friendship with her lifelong friends: Shirley “Nana” Guilmette, Lois Alves, Marilyn Farias, Sandy Gabus, Pam Glass and her faithful companion “Cricket”.

A visitation will be held Tuesday March 22, 2022,  from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Her funeral will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River. Burial will be private.
