Darryl L. Doane

Darryl L. Doane, 87 of Fall River, formerly of Swansea, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12,2025, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Doris (Desruisseaux) Doane and the son of the late Edward B. Doane and Gladys (Bowden-Cook) Doane, and brother of the late Edward Doane, Keith Doane, Georgiana Cariglia and Shirley Cornell. 

Darryl was a graduate of Joseph Case High School and a lifelong member of Christ Church in Swansea. He enjoyed nature (especially the beach), sports, reading, photography and writing poetry. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Besides his wife, Darryl is survived by his children Darren Doane (wife Cathy), Douglas Doane (wife Janice) and Dayle Doane Escobar. He was the loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Lindsey, Matthew, Zachary, Tyler, Ryan and Thomas. 

A funeral service will be held on January 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Christ Church, 57 Main Street, Swansea, MA.

Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Swansea will take place at a later date.
