Claire R. (Haslam) Smith

Claire (Haslam) Smith, 83, of Swansea, wife of the late Andrew Smith, died Thursday, August 25, 2011. She leaves a grandson, Paul A. Smith, Jr. and daughters-in-law Cheryl Ann Duclos and Paula Smith, all of Swansea; a sister-in-law Muriel Haslam and her children Michael, Mark and Diane; a dear friend Joseph "Ben" Levesque. She was the mother of the late Paul A. Smith, Sr. and John A. Smith; the daughter of the late Ernest and Yvonne (Ouellette) Haslam; and the sister of the late John and Ernest Haslam, Jr. She was a long-standing communicant of St. Michael Parish, Swansea, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Women's Guild member. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
