Carlos A. Oliveira, a dedicated plumber and beloved family man also known as "Charlie the Plumber," passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 92 in his hometown of Fall River. Born on November 29, 1931, Carlos lived a life marked by hard work, love and dedication to his family.
Carlos served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, showcasing a spirit of bravery and commitment that he carried with him throughout his life. After his military service, he returned home and began a successful career as a plumber for Henry Ouellette Plumbing as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Carlos was known for his skilled craftsmanship and was respected by his colleagues and clients alike. He enjoyed walking and exercising. Every Saturday, he would wash and wax his car in his garage, listening to Frank Sinatra.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juliette (Pinault) Oliveira, who stood by his side through the years. Carlos takes with him treasured memories of his children: Gail Vital (husband Mark), Paul Oliveira (wife Carol), and Pauline Cassell (companion Steve Pimental). His legacy continues with his grandchildren: Tyler Lopes (wife Lindsey), Amanda Lopes (boyfriend Jeff Beauregard), Alyssa Oliveira (fiancé Corey Chace), Kelsey Dzialo (husband Bryce), Kyle Oliveira (Jacey Nicklas), and Sydney Cassell (boyfriend Evan Willard), all of whom brought joy and pride to his life.
Carlos was predeceased by his parents, Antone Oliveira and Isabel (Amaral) Oliveira, and his daughter Paulette Oliveira, whose memories remained cherished in the hearts of those he left behind.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 9:00AM to 11:00AM, with a Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Auclair Funeral Home, located at 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA 02721. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Carlos A. Oliveira will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His life was a testament to the values of family, service, and hard work, making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
