Carl H. Bryant of Fall River Massachusetts passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 18, 2024 at the age of 82. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Theresa L. (Medeiros) Bryant, his nine children Brenda Bryant, Barbara O’Leary, Carl E. Bryant, Christine Bryant-Simas (spouse Serafim Simas), Michael Bryant (spouse Sally Bryant), Anne-Marie Bryant, Nancy Bryant, Brenden Bryant and Evan Bryant along with his grandchildren Antoinette Thomson (Kris Thomson), Dillan Bryant, Casey O’Leary, Kylee Bryant, Ethan Bryant, Josh Bryant, Jacob Simas, Nicholas Simas, Landyn Bryant and Carlee-Anne Bryant, Kevin Bryant and Charisma Bryant. Carl was predeceased by his Maternal Grandparents Edward and Irene Bryant who raised him along with several Aunt’s and Uncles he considered siblings.
Carl was a Navy Veteran having served his Country during the Cuban Missile Crisis, after which he began his career building and designing kitchens and baths at Brewsters Lumber. He was the store manager of Somerville Lumber in Seekonk MA at the time of its closure, eventually retiring from Humphrey’s Building Supply.
Carl was a family man at heart and was very active in his children’s activities as a Scout Master of The Boy Scouts Pack 27 for many years as well as a Coach for Bayside Little League. He enjoyed barbeques with his family, golfing and cheering for his favorite football team, the New York Jets. He was an active communicant of Good Shepard Parish until his illness. Carl was generous, kind, loving and had a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be missed tremendously.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River with a Funeral Mass following at Good Shepherd Church, South Main St. Fall River at 10:00 AM.
