Brenda L. Cantin-Conboy, a unique soul who navigated life in her own independent style passed away on June 22, 2025, at St. Anne's Hospital. She remained incredibly strong and brave through a long period of declining health.
Born on October 20, 1958, in Fall River, she was the youngest daughter of the late Lionel A. "Pete" Cantin and Mary (Miozza) Cantin.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Normand James Conboy, whose love she carried with her always, and her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Hardro.
Brenda was known to those around her as a devoted wife, a cherished friend, and a passionate animal lover. Her home was never without a resident house cat. She enjoyed cooking for others, as well as crafting and solving word and jigsaw puzzles.
After living most of her life in Fall River, Brenda and Normand moved to Tiverton in 2018, where she enjoyed feeding the birds outside of her beautiful picture window. This brought not only herself great joy, but also entertained her feline companions: the late Puddy, and most recently Rusty, who still misses her presence.
Brenda leaves a sister, Diane Bickel, a niece, two nephews, her in-laws and a small but very devoted circle of friends.
In accordance with Brenda's wishes, her funeral and burial were private. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
